Undergraduate Degree Program
The BS Applied Physics Program aims to produce graduates who:
- demonstrate mastery of the core areas of physics;
- apply principles and methods of physics to solve real-world problems and arrive at decisions;
- synthesize and effectively communicate scientific information; and
- uphold the University’s values of honor and excellence through professionalism, volunteerism, and the promotion of just systems for the advancement of the welfare of their countrymen.
The graduates of the BS Applied Physics program should be able to:
- show mastery of the core areas of physics;
- demonstrate skills in recognizing, developing and applying physical models in solving real world problems;
- utilize existing technologies or develop new instruments or methodologies to carry out practical investigations;
- develop an enhanced perception of the vitality and importance of physics in the modern world including inter-relationships within physics and its connection to other disciplines; and
- communicate scientific ideas using clear and precise language.
